Thanksgiving Donation Drive

Rocking Robins Maids this Thanksgiving wants to give back to the community. Help us restock the needy shelfs, lets not be like the stores with toilet paper. With a purchase of your cleaning we offer free delivery to the designated donation spots. There are several organizations we are working with here in Paoli Indiana. This year we are focusing on our home community, but next year we will help out different communities. Any body can join are Donation drive to feed and cloth the needy, we service a 30 minute area from Paoli Indiana. We do not accept cash donations only non perishable food and clean winter wear.

This year has been hard for everyone and Rocking Robins Maids is no exception, we are thankful to get head again. Now we want to help other this year be warm and full by saving you time and money. Our goal is to collect 100 cans and 50 full sets of winter wear. A full set is one shirt, a jacket, a pair of pants, one pair of socks, and a pair of shoes. Any and all sizes are welcome, old or new we take them all.

Did you know one in every four people in a soup kitchen line is a child. Each year 9 million kids rely on soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters for food. The problem worsens, as the holidays arrives and school lets. Many families struggling to put food on the table. In Fiscal Year 2003, 16.4 million children ate free or reduced price lunches. In 2017, 40 million people struggled with hunger in the United States. In 2019 1 in 4 households or 13.7 million households, have experienced food insecurity. Even before the pandemic hit. That’s why we should help others, because even if the pandemic ends the hungry will still be hungry. Lets do our part in society to help those who need a hand this Thanksgiving. Even a few cans of food could mean a full meal for a child this Thanksgiving. Help others celebrate Thanksgiving dinner. By donating canned food like cranberry sauce, boxed stuffing, or instant potatoes. We welcome any non perishable foods.

Approximately 95% of all household fabrics can be reused or recycled. Such as sheets, towels, used clothing, and footwear. Clothing and textile production is a massive contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Which exacerbates our global climate crisis. The solution is to donate the clothes were instead of wasting away in a land fill they can bring warmth once more. Many poor families are in need of warmer clothes as the seasons turn colder. Those with growing kids need bigger clothes. We will take old or new baby cloths for families who are starting out. So clean out your pantry and your closet for the needy this Thanksgiving.
